Most timber floors can be restored rather than replaced. Whether your floor has water damage, board rot, gaps, or decades of wear, we bring it back to life.
Restore, Don't Replace
Solid hardwood is uniquely suited to restoration. Because the timber runs the full thickness of the board, it can be sanded back and re-finished several times across its life. What may look tired, scratched, stained, or dated is usually just a worn finish — the timber beneath is still sound and ready to be brought back to life.
Even floors with board damage, gaps, or water staining are often salvageable through selective board replacement and gap filling before sanding. We assess each floor individually and advise whether restoration or replacement offers the best value.

Our Process

Floor Assessment
We inspect the floor for damage, loose boards, moisture issues, and assess how many times it has been sanded before.

Board Replacement & Repair
Damaged or rotten boards are replaced with matching timber. Loose boards are re-secured.

Gap Filling
Wide gaps are filled with a suitable filler, coloured to match your timber.

Full Sand
The entire floor is sanded from coarse to fine, removing old coatings, stains, and damage.

Coating
Three coats of polyurethane protect and enhance the restored timber.
Why Restoration Over Replacement
Restoration uses what is already underfoot — no new timber, adhesives, or underlay need to be produced. It keeps the carbon stored in your existing timber locked away for decades more, and preserves the character of the original boards that a new floor simply cannot replicate. In most cases, it is also significantly more cost-effective than a full replacement.
